I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Former two-time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
