Vehicles in Germany's Town Found Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Authorities stated they were contacted by a man who noticed a car in Hanau marked with reddish fluid

Roughly fifty cars have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's city of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were vandalized, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Officers say they were contacted late on Wednesday evening, when a individual noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored fluid.

The substance had been placed in the shape of a swastika, they added.

Law enforcement then found many other marked automobiles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public display of Nazi symbols.

Officials say initial examinations indicate the substance was probably human bodily fluid.

"There is still no indication as to where it came from; investigators are currently not cognizant of any harm in relation with the incident," they added.

City officials said they were attempting "to unravel the incident" and have requested to the community for information.

An important official stated the incident made him stunned and had to be resolved rapidly.

"This event affects the center of Hanau and revives the trauma of the extremist attack five years ago," he stated on social media, mentioning the death of nine individuals by a assailant targeting residents of immigrant origin in five years prior.
